Mountain Valley Insurance agency has been serving the insurance needs of Kentucky and Tennessee for more than 30 years. As an independent insurance agency, we represent a variety of financially strong companies. Our main goal is customer satisfaction. Our professional, educated and experienced staff is dedicated to finding you appropriate coverage for all your insurance needs.

Our History

Mountain Valley Insurance opened it's original location on Aug 1, 1976 in Barbourville, KY. Operations have expanded throughout the years to now include offices in Lexington, London and Manchester. On April 1, 2008, all of the Mountain Valley locations were acquired by First State Bank (ourfsb.bank) in Middlesboro, KY. The combination of services provided by our team enables us to offer complete financial services and insurance protection for your individual and business needs. All offices remain under the management of Diana Hunt, former owner and agent since 1978.

In 2010, Mountain Valley Insurance became a partner in, Keystone, an aggregate of a select group of agencies that provides us opportunities and access to resources to allow us to better serve you.
